Subjunctive KoL: TypicalTavern

When you reach level 3, the Council will tell you that the Typical Tavern needs your help dealing with a rat problem. You will be presented with the cellar of the tavern.

In the cellar, you'll encounter four things:

• Most squares will be occupied by drunken rats, which you will need to fight.
• Some squares will give you free drinks (a bottle of rum, a boxed wine, either type of ice-cold beer, an ice-cold fotie, or a Disco Bandit drink).
• One square will be occupied by Baron Von Ratsworth, a very tough rat. However, if you defeat him, you'll receive a very useful item. Current theory has it that the Baron scales to your current moxie, like the Naughty Sorceress.
• One square will be occupied by the rat faucet. To finish the quest, you must turn the rat faucet off, at which point you'll receive your reward for completing the quest (a shiny ring and three basic mixed drinks). Turning the faucet off will end the quest, so you can't do any more rat-slaying. If you want to kill more rats (or find Baron Von Ratsworth), you can choose to leave the faucet on.

You can revisit any of the squares if you want to kill more rats or get more free drinks, but you can only kill Baron Von Ratsworth once.

The rat whiskers you get from the quest can be traded to the PretentiousArtist for 50 meat apiece.
