Subjunctive KoL: GalleryMaze

The Gallery Maze, which can be obtained by choosing to "Enter the drawing" when you encounter the "Louvre It or Love It" adventure in the Haunted Gallery, is a complicated adventure.

As the name implies, it is a maze. It is somewhat similar to the Violet Fog maze you encounter after eating AstralMushrooms, although there are some important differences. Once you enter the maze, you must continue wandering until you reach one of the six exits. Also, unlike the Violet Fog, once you reach an exit you have no choice whether to take it or not -- you automatically get the item or stat gain and leave the maze.

The most important feature of the maze is that it is different for each player and each Ascension. Each location has three exits (up, down, and sideways), but which one is "Exit 1", "Exit 2", or "Exit 3" is randomly shuffled each time you Ascend. (It will remain constant within a given Ascension, however.)

There are actually four different Relativities, but only three of them will appear in any given version of the maze. For those of you not familiar with the names of the paintings, a description of them is below.

• Relativity is an M. C. Escher painting featuring three staircases and people at different orientations at the end of each staircase. There are four different versions in the gallery.
• Broadway Boogie Woogie is a Piet Mondrian painting. It's the one with a "gridded landscape swarming with little red, yellow, and blue squares".
• The Birth of Venus, by Sandro Botticelli, is the one with Venus appearing from the water on the clamshell.
• The Scream is a painting by Edward Munch. It's the one with the guy screaming.
• The Creation of Adam is a fresco on the Sistine Chapel by Michelangelo; it appears in the gallery as the two guys arguing about creation.
• The Death of Socrates is a painting by Jacques-Louis David. It is parodied in the Gallery as the man telling bad jokes and drinking bad coffee.
• The Last Supper is a Leonardo da Vinci painting depicting the last supper of Jesus with the twelve apostles. The gallery features the apostles debating Jesus's words.
• The Persistence of Memory is a Salvador Dali painting with strangely liquid clocks.
• Nighthawks is an Edward Hopper painting depicting people sitting alone in a diner in a darkened city.
• Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte is a George Seurat pointillist painting (hence the "oddly low-resolution" comment) depicting a number of people enjoying a rest on the titular island.
