Subjunctive KoL   Subjunctive KoL: FallingTrash

At a certain point, the Council will tell you that they're having a problem with trash falling from the sky, and ask you to solve the problem. The Nearby Plains will also begin to fill up with giant trash (which is purely decorative...or whatever the opposite of decorative is).

First, think about how you might get into the sky in the first place...

Try poking around the Bat Hole for something that might help you...

You'll need to grow TheBeanstalk. Get an enchanted bean from the Beanbat Chamber and use it. It will grow a beanstalk in a pile of coffee grounds.

This opens up the Penultimate Fantasy Airship. This doesn't look like the source of the garbage, but try poking around here for a while...

Complete the quest in the Penultimate FantasyAirship. This will open up another new area to you, the Giant Castle...

The Giant Castle seems like a logical place for there to be giant trash, so try poking around here for a while...

During your adventures in the Giant Castle, you'll find a job wheel...

You'll notice that the Procrastination Giant is currently assigned to take out the garbage, which explains why they have trash piling up...

Change the job wheel so that the Procrastination Giant is assigned to something else. Then visit the Council. They'll tell you that the problem is solved, the garbage in the Nearby Plains will disappear, and they'll give you a useful piece of trash as a reward: a giant discarded bottlecap for Muscle classes, a giant discarded plastic fork for Mysticality classes, and a giant discarded torn-up glove for Moxie classes.

Beware! If you turn the wheel, but turn the wheel back to its original setting before visiting the Council, they won't have noticed that the trash stopped falling and you won't get credit for completing the quest. (After visiting the Council and claiming your reward, however, you can turn the wheel back to its original position without any adverse effects.)

Note that there are special adventures in the Giant Castle which only appear if the job wheel is set to a certain setting. If it's set to take out the trash, you can get an adventure giving you Muscle; if it's set to pay the electricity bill, you can get an adventure giving you Mysticality, and if it's set to feed the cat, you can get an adventure giving you Moxie. The gain is proportional to your current level and maxes out at +250.
